I've been using Makkari in the Supergiant shell that hit rank 1 a month ago to pretty decent results. Dropping Ronan for Sersi and Red Guardian for Makkari. Makkari helps get early prio for Supergiant shenanigans. Hood, Daredevil, Makkari, Void, Supergiant and Negasonic are great Sersi targets. Plus you get to keep the guessing game of Cosmo/Nega/Sentry/Annhilus/Sersi via Supergiant Daredevil. Supergiant also allows you to add another card on turn 6 under Sersi if you didn't fill previously. Arguably the Red Guardian is also a great fit here, but we're often fighting for prio, and he's better as a reactive play than proactive.

I'd recommend Luke Cage as a replacement for Red Guardian (Especially if you don't wish to feel disgusting). Scorpion and negative locations appear way too often.

Honestly her biggest problem is her ability. . If it was targeted then she'd be much better and useful.

I really wanted x-23, ended up needing to use 4 keys to get her (of course she was the last pull) but that's not the worst part. Not only did I end up with Makari but I also pulled Kang as the random 4/5 card!

Jeff is like my favorite deck creator. I've been seeing other creators try and mention c4 and most I've seen so far have just been does it ALREADY read 4 points of power. The only 1 they see that can be 4 with an effect is Hawkeye but I've always done this weird c4 stuff through other cards that can be 4. Like have even tried forge Brood stuff in it. Not always great but still aight enough and worth the try.

I used 4 keys to get get Makari and I found best use for her is I can noe get away with murder as I can prove I am insane in a court of law

That’s awesome , I made a similar deck (missing cards fairly new player ) Sunspot , Nebula , Thena, Master mold, Grand master ,Jeff , Ravona, USA agent , iron heart , hope summers ,makarri, she hulk . I’m about 14-2 with it atm lol it works . I wish I had more cards I’m sure I can upgrade certain spots but it’s been fun !

Makkari is not unplayable ! If you draw her on turn 3 onward, you can play her by spending her 3 cost, if you have nothing else to do than choose the location and play her.

The final deck, the strong guy one was the archetype that I really enjoyed the most. My version only had blade and lady sif to enable proxima and then I had a bunch of small but high power cards that made it very easy to dump my hand. I'm curious to see how adding surfer on top of that would be worth it, and having daken does make sense. Makkari is definitely a card that I actually like a lot more than I thought I would. Her biggest downside is obviously the RNG but I like how you can consistently dump your hand when you have her in your deck.

Great video as always Jeff. I do think she can also function well in an handbuff deck since cards such as Okoye and Nakia really help her as well, not to mention with Phastos coming up next week she'll be a bit better as long as he doesn't hit the discount on her. Overall, I don't think she's bad (definitly not series 5 worthy) but I think with more support for the handbuff archetype I can see her working really well there. She can also be great in lists revolved around having priority which further supports cards such as Negasonic, Red Guardian and Alioth.

I've been finding Prof X now works really well as a tech card for move -- you can drag their cards out of his site with Magneto or Polaris, and/or move your own cards in. Meanwhile he still frustrates Hela, who swans around the meta assuming he's not an issue for her any more. Curious to know if other people have experimented with this.

Apart from a few games with Darkhawk Blink for the Jubilee mission and a few games of Namora Skaar for fun, I've played nothing but BroodAbs with Sersi all week and it's the most fun I've had in the game in ages (and gained an infi Conquest ticket and climbed me almost into top 1000 infinite). Best card release since... Legion?

I think the only reasonable way to reign in Hela is change her so she only resurrects one card in every lane. The fact shes so hard to interact with, and all the different possible permutations to try and account for in the window you have for a term is just something most players, myself included, wont do. I only stay in Hela games where i know she was discarded.
